Focus on the Neck 2

This is the second of two workshops focusing on bodywork for the neck.

This is a post grad training to finesse work with the neck and is a follow on from Focus on the Neck 1, where we worked in supine. It is primarily aimed at Zenthai Therapists though open to other experienced massage therapists. We will work on a mat on the floor.

Today we will look at neck work in side position. In this position the neck is presented with easy access to both the anterior and posterior aspects of the body that influence it’s state of health, as well as the neck itself.

The day will include:
– check in : where are you at with neck work? what are you experiencing with clients? has anything changed since the first workshop?
– movement : mobilising and strengthening the neck and associated body parts.
– revising side position neck work. how are you utilising this position for neck work?
– demos : getting clear
– play lab : time for exploration and practise without overdoing – bringing neck work in side position into your “flow”.
– sharing circle : discoveries and feedback

You will receive a handout of gestures covered.
