Focus on the Neck 1

This is the first of two workshops focusing on bodywork for the neck.

This is a post grad training to finesse work with the neck. It is primarily aimed at Zenthai Therapists though open to other experienced massage therapists. We will work on a mat on the floor.

Today we will look at neck work in supine.

The day will include:
– check in : where are you at with neck work? what are you experiencing with clients?
– movement : mobilising and strengthening the neck and associated body parts.
– looking at structure and where the meridians and fascial lines run through the neck
– discussion : Why and when do we work with the neck?
What is the inter-relationship of the neck with other parts of the body?
– demos : getting clear
– play lab : time for exploration and practise without overdoing.
– sharing circle : discoveries and feedback

You will receive a handout of gestures covered.
