Your Teacher
Wendy Reid (Yoga Australia Registered Level 3 Yoga Teacher) will pilot the year and encourage and support you to challenge yourself physically and mentally, to know how and when to rest and take a break, to take responsibility for your own progress, and above all to enjoy the journey with fun and laughter!
Wen trained in 2012 with Senior Level 3 Teacher Kate Pell, and started teaching beginners courses at Sattva (now Zen Space) in 2013. The personal transformation that evolved from her yoga studies and teaching led Wen to leave her corporate role as CEO to make yoga her new life path.
She has a strong commitment to continuing professional development and has studied in Australia and overseas with some of the finest teachers including Diane Long (Rome), Donna Farhi (NZ), Flo Fenton (Australia), Simon Borg-Olivier (Australia) and most importantly, Kate Pell. Wen has assisted Kate in two 350 hour year-long Yoga Teacher Training Courses and expresses her deep gratitude for this rare opportunity. In 2022 Wen led her first teacher training course (mentored by Kate Pell), and in 2024 her second, supported by special guest teachers Camille Jeboult, Edwin Kempe, and Shaun Quinlan.
Wen has post graduate qualifications in psychology and business, and a 20-year practice of non violent communication. She combines these with her yoga teaching resulting in style that is focused, empathic, accepting, inclusive and above all – fun!
She also is a Pilates Teacher so you can expect some deep core work during the year!
In 2025 other highly qualified and experienced teachers will be invited to teach portions of the course, including a 2-day Nonviolent Communication Course (also known as Compassionate Communication) in early May led by International Nonviolent Communications Trainer Louise Romain, visiting from France.
